[Maintenance Service Case] Repair of cavitation and wash-out holes on the pump casing of a slurry circulation pump at a SDIC power plant using silicon carbide particle patch
-
DeviceName:
Serum circulation pump casing
-
DeviceProblem:
The main reason is that the slurry contains a large amount of solid particles (fly ash, limestone, gypsum, particle size 20–60μm, concentration5%–28%), which high-speed erode the inner wall of the pump casing, the volute, and the cutwater. The slurry is acidic (pH 56) and has high Cl⁻ (up to 80,000 mg/L), forming a highly corrosive environment. Long-term operation has caused severe damage the pump casing inlet ring and the cutwater, and the suction inlet has also become pitted, which should be repaired on-site.
